School Boards must adopt by resolution and memoralize in the minutes all new or changed laws.
New Laws NOT adopted by resolution by our board:

• The New New Jersey Residency Law
• The New Law that requires all students to attend school until the age of 18. Just passed both committees...Wait and see... Stay tuned for updates...It affects us
• The New Law that places a CAP on the Superintendent's salary 

Every school board member places his/her left hand on the Bible and raises the right hand to the flag and swears an Oath to uphold the law. The very first item sworn to is
(a) I will uphold and enforce all laws, rules and regulations of the State Board of Education, and court orders pertaining to schools. Desired changes shall be brought about only through legal and ethical procedures.
